Day 1: Jackson Hole, Snow King Mountain

Lodging: Teton Mountain Lodge: Teton Village, WY

We will begin our tour with a full immersion into the Western heritage of Wyoming’s favorite resort town. Nestled between the Grand Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges, the valley of Jackson Hole is home to an authentic cowboy town with options for all ages - featuring art galleries, unique dining, a robust shopping district and iconic cowboy bars. The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, known for its leather saddle barstools and the Silver Dollar Saloon, where we’ll be stopping for lunch, are both unique and historic spots to grab a memorable beer or cocktail. Take the time to explore the shops in Jackson Square before we board a chair lift for a scenic ride up Snow King Mountain. Capture golden panoramic views of the Grand Teton Mountains and the frozen white landscapes below that are teeming with Roosevelt Elk. Next, the Expedition Cruiser ventures to the quaint mountain town of Teton Village, where we will retire at the beautiful Teton Mountain Lodge. Take in the crisp mountain air from your balcony as the sun sets across a winter alpine landscape.

Day 2: Grand Teton Winter Eco Tour & Snowmobiling in The Gros Ventre Wilderness

Lodging: Teton Mountain Lodge: Teton Village, WY

Our day begins before sunrise. We’ll board the Expedition to drive into Jackson Hole where half of the group will depart on a 4-hour sunrise eco photography tour with EcoTour Adventures. You will board their 4x4 style safari vehicle, along with a knowledgeable and experienced guide and make your way into the wildlife hotspots of the Grand Teton National Park. Your guide will be equipped with high quality binoculars and spotting scopes for each guest and are available for your use throughout the morning, allowing ample time to view wildlife and the contrasting landscape through the lens. The other half of the group will embark on an 8-hour guided snowmobile tour through the Gros Ventre wilderness - this is suitable for all activity levels. Your guide will share their knowledge of the ecosystem as you weave through groomed trails, stopping frequently to view and photograph wildlife up close and in action. The Expedition Cruiser will pick you up from your adventures and return you for our final night at the Teton Mountain Lodge. You may stay at the lodge to relax, explore the Teton Village shopping district, or take the Bridger Gondola up Piste Mountain for happy hour on the Deck @ Piste and a sunset dinner at Piste Mountain Bistro.

Day 3: Grand Teton Winter Eco Tour & Snowmobiling in the Gros Ventre Wilderness

Lodging: Spring Creek Ranch: Jackson, WY

Today begins just as the last, but you will stay with your group as you embark on the next adventure, whether that’s the Eco Photography Tour or the Gros Ventre Snowmobile Adventure. After an active morning of photographing frozen landscapes, guests will have the afternoon to spend in Jackson Hole for lunch on their own time with their Flex Pass. Later, we will check in at Spring Creek Ranch, where you can indulge in any of the ranches amenities. Enjoy a sunset dinner at the ranches restaurant, The Granary, offering upscale dining and gorgeous panoramic views of the Grand Teton mountain range.

Day 4: Photograph Grand Tetons, Scenic Drive, 320 Guest Ranch

Lodging: 320 Guest Ranch: Gallatin Gateway, MT

While the main scenic road traveling along the Grand Tetons is closed to motorized vehicles in the winter season, you will have the opportunity for a morning of exploration in the heart of the Grand Teton National Forest on an EcoTours XC Ski Adventure. If XC skiing isn’t your cup of tea, take part in a guided Sunrise Photography Adventure with a Back country Safari wildlife guide and professional photographer. Capture golden panoramic views of the Grand Teton Mountains and the surrounding frozen white landscapes where Roosevelt elk, moose, pronghorn, and other wildlife thrive. Later we’ll board the Expedition Cruiser for a scenic drive into the Gallatin National Forest where we’ll check at the rustic 320 Guest Ranch, with private cabins set directly on the Gallatin River. Enjoy photographing the landscape, or bundle up for a Winter sunset sleigh ride on the ranch where appetizers and dessert will be served. Later, head to the 320 Saloon for an authentic gourmet cowboy dinner.

Day 5: Private Guided Photography Snow coach Tour: Lower Grand Loop

Lodging: 320 Guest Ranch: Gallatin Gateway, MT

The early morning hours offer the best natural light for photos, and the greatest opportunity for viewing animals. We begin our day in West Yellowstone to board a luxurious heated slowcoach, where you’ll have protected space for your camera gear and other belongings. A Yellowstone wildlife and back country photography expert will join us on our day as we explore the Lower Yellowstone Loop, stopping to photograph the geological wonders inside the caldera of the Super Volcano. Driving along the Fire Hole river, we’ll visit key areas such as the Fountain Flats, Norris Geyser Basin, Old Faithful,  and Midway and Lower Geyser Basins, where outstanding colors of steamy blue, bright green and rusty orange contrast against a crisp, white winter canvas. We’ll break for lunch at the historical Old Faithful Lodge before continuing around Biscuit Basin and West Thumb Geyser Basin, reaching the frozen alpine waters of Lake Yellowstone for panoramic views of the Gros Ventre Mountains. Continuing along the Yellowstone River, the golden hours of the day bring us to Hayden Valley, where herds of North American bison huddle together away from cold. Capture the sunset as elk, moose, bears and wolves emerge into the valley. We’ll board the slowcoach to begin the drive to West Yellowstone where the Expedition Cruiser will meet us. We’ll dine in West Yellowstone before returning to the warmth of our riverside cabins at 320 Guest Ranch.

Day 6: Private Guided Photography Snow coach Tour: Upper Grand Loop

Lodging: Hilton Garden Inn: Bozeman, MT

Today is a day for discovering the majestic scenery and vibrant wildlife of this treasured American region. Our exploration of the northern end of the Grand Loop of Yellowstone uncovers frozen waterfalls, Mount Washburn, Roosevelt Junction, the Lamar Valley, the amazing travertine terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs, and the north end of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Boarding the snow coach, our morning brings us to Artist’s Point where a perfectly timed rainbow appears across the cascading Upper Falls. We will carefully dissect the winter wonders of Lamar Valley behind the lens. Bison, grizzly bears, wolves, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and Roosevelt elk highlight this trek through Yellowstone’s showcase of wildlife. As the sun falls we emerge into Mammoth Hot Springs to photograph the vibrant terraces against the white snow. The Limo Liner will meet us in Mammoth where our chef will serve a variety of appetizers and beverages as we leave the park and head into Bozeman, Montana. We’ll stop at Montana Ale Works for a farm-to-table farewell dinner before we retire at the Hilton Garden Inn.
